Elektronika is a brand name o Soviet electronic products produced from the 1970s and onwards. Factories belonging to the Soviet Ministry of Electronic Industry produced designs by engineers working in this Soviet military – industrial complex. Areas of operations included the manufacture of calculators, radios, computers, even watches and portable games.

Aiming to cover the great shortage within the Soviet Union consumer goods were produced and distributed locally. Calculators were programmable and the computers ran with operating system either soviet or Intel compatible. Most electronic toys were clones of Nintendo series, branded Russian.

That was just a snapshot on the presentation of the techmuseum series. Indulge more into the history. Continue reading more about the present model, the Elektronika 901 here.
