About the History of PCs

PC.gr presents a digital archive of computer history, with 231 exhibits and descriptions in Greek and English.

The collections

The archive is organised into Personal Computers, Laptop Computers and Portable Computers. The Personal Computers gallery also includes terminals and professional systems as part of the same technological history.

Sources and presentation

The entries are based on the PC-GR.com TechMuseum archive. Each exhibit links to the original entry. Greek descriptions were prepared with machine assistance and targeted terminology corrections. The English edition draws on the original English entries. Model names remain in their original form. The collection is open to corrections and further documentation.

Photographs come from the original entries. Their backgrounds have been adapted to the exhibition’s appearance while preserving device colours. They are not new photographs.

Video guides

Videos come from the PC.gr YouTube channel. There are 223 confirmed model matches. Eight entries use a clearly marked temporary video pending the exact presentation. Video audio is provided by the original channel and is not translated by the language switch.
