Basis 108

The Basis 108 has a Zilog Z80 and MOS 6502 processor and memory of 128kB. Equipped with two floppy disks of 5.25” it ran with the operating system of the CP/M 3.0 version.

The Basis 108 has a Zilog Z80 and MOS 6502 processor and memory of 128kB. Equipped with two floppy disks of 5.25” it ran with the operating system of the CP/M 3.0 version.

Cherry, a West German computer manufacturer introduced to consumers some of the best computing systems in terms of hardware quality. Product lines formed with prefixed KC, KW, MC, MW and J. The company is originally famous for the quality keys, the best ones in the keyboard industry, the uncovered Cherry M8 low profile keys.

Like many other manufacturers at that time, Cherry Corp. produced many Apple II clones. Similar clones include the Dick Smith, Soviet Agat series, Microdigital, hardware and software compatible with the Apple II.
