ZPA Nový Bor, a small manufacturer from former Czechoslovakia, produced the IQ 151 personal computer in 1985. The company designed, produced and marketed the product locally for the education sector. After the fall of Communism in 1989, the production stopped because it was not competitive in terms of price and featured elements.
There were some drawbacks on its production. First all, the materials were low-cost, giving the example of the poor membrane keyboard. Notable as well was the tendency to overheat very easily, even on light workload. The Slovakian counterpart, the PMD 85, was more advanced and effective.
That was just a snapshot on the presentation of the techmuseum series. Indulge more into the history. Continue reading more about the present model, the ZPA IQ 151 here.
