Yamaha Corporation, a Japanese multi national conglomerate, is involved in many different divisions. Its joint structure include affiliated companies in the motor and music industry. Yamaha has grown into world’s biggest musical instruments manufacturer and a leader in semi conductors, home appliances, robots, even sporting goods (archery products). The leading corporation has made grand innovations, such as digital synthesizer (Yamaha DX7) and was the first to ship the CD recorder!

Yamaha Corporation, after meeting this phenomenal success in the music department, slowly incorporated other companies. Between the owned subsidiaries are the famous Austrian Bösendorfer piano company and the Ampeg bass amplifiers company.

That was just a snapshot on the presentation of the techmuseum series. Indulge more into the history. Continue reading more about the present model, the Yamaha YIS 503 II here.
