Telercas Oy, a Finnish company,  introduced to the consumer world the microcomputer in the beginning of the 1980s. The corporation was the first one to design, produce and market BASIC based home computers from Finland. Computer models featured decent elements, but didn’t present strong competition to other manufacturers.

The main division area of involvement was the import of RCA microchips. The production, thus, was limited to only a few hundred units. The product line targeted consumers that were electronics enthusiasts, primarily from Scandinavian countries. Another microcomputer that sold very well was the Telmac 1800, that came in a kit form, suitcase style.

That was just a snapshot on the presentation of the techmuseum series. Indulge more into the history. Continue reading more about the present model, the Telmac TMC 600 here. Gather more information.
