On this TECHDAY in history, in 2007, the Phoenix Mars lander was launched by NASA. It would be the first spacecraft that touched down on the “arctic” region of Mars, with the goals of searching for water (even in ice form) and assessing the possibility of the existence of a habitable zone in the vicinity. It was equipped, among others, with a microscope, cameras and a chemistry lab.
